The Creativity of Life: A Conversation with Naomi Moris, Director of the Moris Lab at The Francis Crick Institute

Philip Ball in Conversation with Naomi Moris

This is the second conversation in our Meanings of Life Project: The New Biology. Philip Ball, author of How Life Works: A User’s Guide to the New Biology (University of Chicago Press), is in conversation with devleopmental biologist, Naomi Moris.

Moris is the Director of the Moris Lab at The Francis Crick Institute, London, and her work focuses on the fundamental principles of embryonic cell fate coordination during development. The plasticity and creativity of life, its goal-directedness, its sense of purpose, are key themes in their conversation.
